Well folks, I didn't have any action on this one, but watching Orlando absolutely demolish the Bulls 127-103 had me wishing I'd trusted the chalk! The Magic were laying 1.5 points as road favorites, and honestly, that should have been an easy call. When you're 18-2 in your last 20 bets like I am, you start to recognize value when you see it!

Orlando came out looking like a team that knows they're destined for something special this season. They covered that spread with room to spare and helped push the total over 220 - it sailed past at 230 total points! I was texting my neighbor Glen during the third quarter saying "this is exactly why you bet the favorites!" The Magic just have that championship pedigree that McBrinsleigh always talks about when she calls from Oregon. Speaking of which, she just finished her midterms and is training for another 10k race next month - so proud of that girl!

What really impressed me was how Orlando never let Chicago get comfortable. The Bulls are going through all that front office drama with the GM getting fired, and you could see it on the court. Sometimes teams rally together during adversity, but this wasn't one of those times! The Magic took advantage of every opportunity, which is exactly what good teams do. That's the kind of execution that separates the wheat from the chaff in this league.

I've been telling Glen we need to start paying more attention to these Magic games. When a team is this consistent and the books are giving you reasonable numbers, that's usually where the smart money goes! McBrinsleigh always says to trust the process, and Orlando's process looks pretty darn good right now. Next time they're laying points against a struggling team, you can bet I'll be all over it! Just happy to be here. Go team!
